5 of 6 medals from the World Ploughing Championship to Kverneland

We are proud to tell that the 2008 World Championships in Ploughing was a great success for the Kverneland plough.

The contest took place in Grafenegg in Austria and 56 participants from 28 countries were in action during two days. The first day the conditions were very hard and difficult because of many days with dry weather. The second day became a challenge as a result of heavy rain during the night and most of the day.

The class of Conventional Ploughs was totally dominated by Kverneland and was won by Samuel Gill from Northern-Ireland. Bernhard Altmann from Austria took the second place and Matti Rautiainen from Finland was No. 3. All using Kverneland ploughs.

25 of 26 participants in the conventional class were using a Kverneland plough.

The class of Reversible Ploughs was won by Andrew B. Mitchell from Scotland, while Yves Thievon from France took the second place. Thomas Cochrane from Northern-Ireland was No.3.

Both No. 2 and No. 3 were using Kverneland ploughs.

26 of 30 participants in this group were using a Kverneland plough.

The ploughing match in excellent surrounding together with a full-scale machinery exhibition gathered about 20.000 spectators who contributed to a fantastic atmosphere during the weekend.
